It is so frustrating when your journey is stopped in it's tracks due to an unforeseen event such as a puncture or even worse, damage to your vehicle tire and rim caused by debris in the roadway. Replacement costs can be very expensive and it can happen at any time.
 
KM Plus TIRE & RIM Warranty covers the replacement cost of your tires and rims if they fail to resist to debris in the roadway, such as POTHOLES, GLASS, NAILS, ROCKS, TREE LIMBS or any other object or condition that could potentially be in the roadway.

Previously approved costs related to the damaged tire or rim including taxes, labour costs, mounting and balancing fees, valve stems and environmental/disposal fees.
 
KM+ Tire and Rim Warranty: 
This option covers any defect in the manufacture of tires and rims on the vehicle, subject to the following, more specifically, the cost of replacing tires and rims if they do not resist the debris of the tire on public roads for which they should normally be designed, such as nails, glass, potholes, rocks, tree limbs or any other potentially dangerous object or condition on the roadway, up to a maximum of $4000 (up to 18” rim) and $ 5,000 (19”-22” rim) for the full term chosen as shown on the first page of this contract, as well as $ 2,000 per claim (up to 18” rim) and $3000 per claim (19”-22” rim), taxes included in both cases.
 
Option includes
i) repair, if repairable, or failing that, replacement of the damaged tire, 
ii) repair, if repairable, or failing that, replacement of the damaged rim if the damage prevents the tire from sealing with the rim, which prevents it from maintaining the required air pressure according to the manufacturer's specifications; and 
(iii) KM + pre-approved costs related to the repair or replacement of the damaged rim or tire, including taxes, labor costs, assembly and balancing costs, valve rods and environmental / disposal fees. 
If replacement of a tire or rim is required, KM + will provide an approved replacement tire or rim of type and quality similar to that of the damaged part. 
 
The option also includes, 
if necessary, a towing allowance not exceeding $75 per event when the covered repair of the vehicle is necessary and a car rental allowance not exceeding $50 per day for a maximum of 2 days ($100 maximum) 
if KM + confirms that the vehicle cannot be used due to an accepted repair or replacement. Finally, if the vehicle is towed, it will be transported to the nearest authorized service center up to a maximum distance of 50 kilometers, provided that the total distance traveled by the tow vehicle to the vehicle is within 50 kilometers.
 
In addition the following repairs are not covered by this option: Any damage to tires that have a depth of less than 4mm (5/32 ") at the lowest point of the tire at the time of damage, and any damage caused by vandalism or abuse or lack of installation.
