Differentials (front and rear) : Housings and all internal parts, front and rear axles, universal joints, crowns and pinions, crown and pinion bearings, pinions, positraction unit, satellites, yokes, transmission shafts, support bearings, transfer case support mounts, all gaskets, filters and rings. (* Note: All gaskets and seals are included in the event of major failures only.)
Transfer case (4X4) : Housing, gear assemblies, drive chain, pinions, internal main shafts, inner bearings, ordinary bearings and all lubricated internal parts, in all cases of damage caused internally.
Turbocharger or supercharger : Housing, (in the event of damage caused internally) all lubricated internal parts, and only provided said part was installed at the factory by the manufacturer.
Transfer case (4X4) : Housing, gear assemblies, drive chain, pinions, inner bearings, ordinary bearings and all lubricated internal parts, in all cases of damage caused internally (main shafts, transfer case support and all gaskets, filters and rings are included only in the event of major failure).
Towing assistance : Only in cases of covered incidents and no reimbursement without valid receipts, a towing indemnity not exceeding seventy-five dollars ($75) per event when the vehicle malfunction is caused by a breakdown (said repair being expressly covered by this Agreement).

EMERGENCY 24-HOUR ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE AT NO CHARGE
KM+ emergency roadside assistance (hereafter “the program”) is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, throughout Canada and the continental United States. The program comes into effect 30 days following the date of possession (date mentioned in your KM+ contract) of the designated vehicle. This program, covering the designated vehicle, is limited to a maximum of two (2) services per contract year and is subject to certain limitations and exclusions as described below:
In order to benefit from the advantages offered by the program, you must without fail communicate with one of our agents prior to obtaining service at 1-800-280-5141, failing which you will not benefit from the advantages included in the program and you will not be reimbursed for any expenses incurred for services which would have been covered by the program. The 24 hour roadside assistance services (hereafter the “Services”) include:
Towing: The designated vehicle will be towed to the nearest service center authorized by KM+ up to a maximum of 50 kilometers (included in the 50 kilometers is the distance covered by the service provider to reach the designated vehicle).
Flat tire: In the event of a flat tire, the defective tire will be replaced by the spare tire of the designated vehicle.
Fuel Delivery Service: An emergency fuel supply will be delivered to clients covered by the program in the event that the cause of the breakdown is the direct result of running out of gas. The cost of any fuel delivered by the service provider will be at the client’s expense.
Locksmith Assistance: If the designated vehicle’s keys are locked in the vehicle, assistance will be provided to gain access to the designated vehicle (the cost of copies or replacement keys are additional services which are payable by the client directly to the service provider upon delivery).
Battery Assistance: Battery boosting services will be provided to clients immediately in need of the designated vehicle.
Winching: Winching services, to pull the designated vehicle out of mud, sand, snow or a ditch, will be provided so long as the designated vehicle is located immediately adjacent to a regularly traveled road and it is possible to safely pull the vehicle out using standard winching equipment. A service vehicle and a service provider will be dispatched to the site for a maximum of twenty minutes. If the designated vehicle is not functional once pulled onto the roadway, the client will be responsible for all costs incurred, including costs for the original winching service.
Distance: All of the abovementioned services include the distance to reach the designated vehicle by the service provider for a maximum of 50 kilometers.
Exclusions
Limit of one (1) service per incident.
Snow removal to reach the designated vehicle; the vehicle must remain accessible throughout the duration of the service.
The costs of specialized equipment including a truck with props or extended winching cables etc. are at the client’s expense.
Any mechanical repairs, including any parts, labor, the supply of materials, the installation of or removal of new tires, winter tires, or chains on the designated vehicle, are at the clients expense.
Towing of the designated vehicle from one service center to another.
Inflating tires of the designated vehicle.
Client transportation to the designated vehicle, to your residence or to the garage, before and/or after the service has been provided
Service for any vehicle which is not designed for use on a public or private road or which has been voluntarily driven to a place not frequented by the public such as an unauthorized roadway, field, construction site, beach, marshy area, entryway, alley, private road, vacant lot or any other place an ordinary tow-truck cannot access or in which access would be dangerous for a service provider.
Service for vehicles such as motorcycles, scooters, recreational vehicles, all-terrain vehicles, snowmobiles, dune buggies, tow trucks of any kind, rental cars (short term), tractors, boats, competition vehicles, unregistered vehicles and vehicles which have been impounded or recovered following a theft. Services for trucks of more than a half ton capacity, taxis or any other commercial or delivery vehicles are equally excluded.
Any vehicle in storage, any seasonal vehicle, including any vehicle that has not been used for more than a month and/or which is in poor condition and/or badly maintained.
Any type of service required by the designated vehicle after an event normally protected by an automobile insurance contract, whether or not the client has been reimbursed by his/her insurer (including collisions, vandalism, fire or any other event that prevents the vehicle from being driven) is excluded as is towing of the designated vehicle to a scrapyard. Service requests subsequent to any and all accident situations are excluded.
Service on a designated vehicle that is left unattended (a driver with a valid driver’s license must be present at the time of the service).
A slow boost (« slow charge») of the battery of the Designated Vehicle.
KM+ Roadside Assistance cannot be combined with any other roadside assistance program. If you are already enrolled in a roadside assistance program offered by an automobile manufacturer or another roadside assistance service, you must use such roadside assistance service exclusively prior to using the present program.
All fines and/or costs arising from any infraction, as well as any tolls are the client’s responsibility.
Service for any vehicle that is not fit to be on the road or poorly maintained.
In the event of bad weather conditions:
In the event of bad weather, KM+ Roadside Assistance generally receives a high volume of calls which may result in longer delays than usual. In such cases, KM+ Roadside Assistance will not be liable for any costs resulting from the delay, including costs of alternative means of transportation, repair of damaged property or any other prejudice caused by the delay or the inconvenience resulting from the delay. KM+ Roadside Assistance will give priority to clients who find themselves in an unsheltered location.
Other limitations of liability:
The programs service providers are not responsible for loss or damage resulting from the Services provided, in particular any material damage or loss of goods, including loss or damage of the designated vehicle or any other vehicle, loss of time and/or inconveniences, all expense incurred by the client including any expenses relating to the rental, replacement and/or the purchase of a vehicle, any particular, direct, indirect, consecutive or punitive damages, including damages from any work done by the program service providers acting as an intermediary on the clients behalf, the coordination of services between you and the service provider, any services rendered by the service provider, failure by the service provider to respect the service agreement, for any such service, whether or not such agreement was made in the application of the Program or not. The program’s service providers will not be subrogated in your rights, in those of any other service providers, or in the rights of the provider of service to you.
Gaskets and seals : All gaskets and seals on components covered under the section - PARTS COVERED, clauses 1, 2, 3, in the event of a necessary repair relating to failure leading to a breakdown of the vehicle, provided said part are expressly covered by the plan selected.

Air conditioning system: Compressor, condenser, evaporator. The following parts are covered when necessary to repair or replace one of the foregoing eligible parts for original manufacturer’s parts: thermostatic expansion valve, dryer/reservoir, oils and coolants.

Courtesy Car Rental : A rental indemnity of thirty dollars ($30) per day, up to a total of seven (7) days, i.e. two hundred and ten dollars ($210), when the vehicle is repaired by a duly authorized repair center and the vehicle is out of service for more than forty-eight (48) hours following receipt of the estimate from the accredited repair center, excluding Saturdays, Sundays and statutory holidays (said repair being expressly covered by this Agreement). The deductible does not apply to the rental indemnity.

Domestic and European Luxury vehicles can be very expensive to repair and owners of Luxury vehicles are charged a little bit more because their cost per claim is higher.

Q. Why are FIAT, MINI, SMART, and any Hybrid vehicle classed as a Luxury vehicle?
A: This is because the European manufacturers do not sell high volumes of these vehicles in Canada and the average cost of repair can be significantly higher than domestic or other imported vehicles. Hybrid vehicles can be more complex and expensive to repair.
